2019

The Beginning

READS was conceived within Repsol’s R&D ecosystem, born from a shared belief: sustainability must be measurable to be manageable. What began as an internal tool soon became a catalyst for innovation.

2021

Science meets strategy

The first READS prototypes integrated advanced natural capital valuation methodologies with leading sustainability frameworks — co-developed by Repsol, consulting firms, and universities, and validated by independent experts from UNEP-WCMC and the Capitals Coalition.

2022

Recognition & partnerships

Winner of the enerTIC Award for Digital Transformation in Sustainability. Strategic collaborations with Microsoft, Minsait, and Worley accelerated product development and market reach.
